About us
My name is Patrick and I run the page. I have been privately teaching the Junior and Leaving Cert syllabus to students of all levels for four years. My classes are designed to boost grades, and I have helped numerous students to achieve their goals.
Through TheLingo, I am to offer my classes to all students and bring language learning into the online space, providing personalised lessons for students of all ages, with a focus on preparation for exams - in a fun way, no boring grammar lessons.
I’m Patrick, and I have lived across Italy and Spain since graduating from UCD in Italian and Spanish in 2018, and I haven’t stopped teaching since. I’m 26 years old and grew up in Blanchardstown Dublin.
I am a friendly and relaxed tutor with a methodology of my own picked up from teaching in primary and secondary schools in Spain, language acadamies, and online. It is concise and unique to every student.
A nice rapport with students is key to any type of learning, especially in something so communicative like languages. My students are encouraged to make mistakes, and to speak as much as possible in class.
When I’m not teaching I like travelling into new cultures, reading, socialising, and of course, learning languages. I also like camels, as I’m sure you will have noticed on the website.
An alternative approach
I back my alternative approach so much that I wanted it to be visible everywhere across the business, right down to the photographs you see on this site. I don’t do stock photography because I don’t want to publicise anything that isn’t my own. Instead, I would rather give you an idea of the person that I am because, at the end of the day, we’re people. Not LinkedIn. Not Instagram. People.
