HL: Wednesdays & Fridays, Time TBC 340 euro
OL: Thursdays, Time TBC 195 euro
Leaving cert Italian courses with emphasis on the oral exam and prescribed text (in the case of HL). Higher Level classes will take place on zoom as webinars over 12 weeks. OL classes will take place over 11 weeks, Patrick will be the teacher, and click here to find out more about him.
Over the term classes will be divided into the key sections of the Leaving Cert, based on the syllabus.The first 4 weeks will be focused on general conversation and students will be prepared with personalised material adapted to them. Then we will look at the prescribed text, and students will be familiarised with the exam structure. The final 4 weeks will be dedicated to the picture sequences and role-plays, and students will be prepared with expert material and will practice them up until the Christmas break.
Numbers are fixed at a maximum of 6 students in order to ensure student-centred learning, and small groups allow individual focus.

Classes and courses
At-home online learning is broken up into weekly lesson plans, Conducted through Zoom Meetings, with notes prepared and kept on Google Docs as a study resource.
Leaving cert preparatory courses will begin on the 25th September 2023. They are adaptable to students’ needs, and will focus on boosting students’ ability to tackle the Leaving Cert oral in April and the Leaving Cert in June 2023.

Students don’t need to study a language in school to be able to sit the exam come June. With private tutoring, they can prepare themselves in their own time and at their own pace.
These days, with the advance of online learning largely due to the pandemic, old-fashioned ‘grinds’ have reshaped themselves. Now they can be done online, which makes things a lot easier in terms of transport, timing, and materials.
I use Google Docs as a sort of notebook in which all the material is accessible in a few clicks. I cover the syllabus in detail with my students, preparing them for all aspects of the exam. Lessons are dynamic, personalized, and fun.
